Expression editor

You can use the expression editor to add an expression as a condition of a rule.

Add an expression to a rule​

  1. Click on the + Condition button or the condition extender.
  1. Select Design expression.
  1. Select + Enter Condition to open the expression editor.
  1. Write your expression by choosing from the available Functions and Schema. The Web version of irAuthor allows filtering within the expression editor.

  • For a list of all functions available with examples, see the article, All Functions.

  • If you hover over a function, a tooltip appears with information about the expected inputs the function requires, as well as what data type the function will return.

  1. Select OK to add the expression to the rule.
